Notice about tagged bass on Squam Lake

Since August 10, 2014 the NH Fish and Game Department (with the help of NH BASS Nation) has been conducting a study concerning the movement of bass once released after a tournament on Squam Lake. According to NH Fish and Game:

“The goal of this radio tagging study is to determine the percentage of bass returning to Big Squam after being caught in Big Squam and weighed in and released in Little Squam, and how long it takes fish to do so.”

All radio tagged bass will have a thin wire protruding from their underside and a yellow numbered tag near their dorsal fin, as pictured above.

It is imperative that every angler cooperate with this study by releasing radio tagged fish immediately if caught. If any angler brings a radio tagged fish to the scales they will be disqualified from the competition.

Thanking Everyone for a Successful Divisional

The New Hampshire Bass Federation would like to thank the following members for their help with the 2015 Eastern Divisional on Lake Winnipesaukee. This event would not have been as successful or even possible without each and every participant.
