Landry and Lane Take 2 day Ticonderoga Summer Open

The New Hampshire Bass Federation headed north to Lake Champlain (Ticonderoga) to host a 2 day Summer Open. This time around, heavy rains had risen the water level significantly and impacted water clarity. Even still, anglers headed out both mornings at 7:00am to find the winning fish. Teams reported heading north in search of clearer water, while others headed south in hopes of located large schools. The team of Rick Landry and Josh Lane were leading after day 1, and continued their lead to secure the win. Rick and Josh ended the event with 16 largemouth totaling 55.94lbs. Rick and Josh reported that although the conditions were tough they keyed in on shorelines that had irregularities. One area in particular was holding a massive school of bass which is where their fish came from during this event. Congratulations to the rest of the field who also walked away with a sweet payout and some awesome prizes provided by our sponsors.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to fish with us, the town of Ticonderoga for accommodating us for this event, and everyone for volunteers and/or helped in any way.

The New Hampshire Bass Federation kicked off its season on Lake Winnipesaukee for the 2nd Annual Mike McNamara Memorial Open. The event began and 7:00am and welcomed anglers with raw April weather that New England is known for. While the bite was slow many anglers reported the fish cooperating better in the afternoon before weigh-in at 3:30pm. Along with 200 points towards the 2017 Trokar Team of the Year race, the winner team took home the first ever memorial trophy for this event.
