President's Message - February 2010

2010 is underway and some wonderful things have begun. In January we had a booth at the Rockingham Expo on January 9 and 10th. Thank you to Rob and Sue Frye for their hospitality for the booth at the Expo. If you see them, make sure you say thanks. It was great to see everyone that came out to play and a heartfelt thank you goes out to each and every one of you that pitched in giving your time and energy to making our booth so great. We had several give aways , hats, shirts, 2 lucky anglers won cases of Yamalube and many have taken a chance on our raffle for the Minn Kota Trolling Motor. A special Thank you goes out the Sandy at Northern Bass for continuing on our raffle at her store and her events up to the raffle date of July 25th, our summer open. It is working together like that that makes things happen. So when you are out and about stop by and say hello and pick up some raffle tickets to help our State team. Each club has tickets to sell as well, so see your club rep or you can purchase them online just by visiting our web page.

Our January meeting was very productive. We have made some important changes to our Constitution to allow us to make necessary and appropriate changes as they are needed and also to allow more flexibility in being able to make those changes. Each club representative has a copy of the Constitution and we will be voting on the changes at the February meeting.

Improving our communication is a long process and we are beginning to see the reward for our efforts. But this is not something that just a few can do overnight, it takes everyone doing their part so please , make sure that TBF has your correct mailing and email address so that as we put together correspondence we can make sure that those needing the information can get it. Also visit the web site frequently for up to date conservation news, state team information, meeting minutes and of course our updated Constitution.

Again, thank you everyone for your support of TBF and our State Team and looking forward to a year of spectacular achievements by all.
